Florblanca is located on one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica, Playa Santa Teresa. With un-crowded line-ups and warm water year round, Santa Teresa is a surfer’s paradise. There are a number of open beach breaks in our area as well as point breaks and reef breaks that offer more advanced waves in certain times of the year.

Florblanca offers complimentary beginner surfboards, and we work with the best surf instructors in our area.

Every villa at Florblanca is just steps from a pristine white sand beach. The beach is rocky directly in front of the hotel making nice tide pools to relax in at low tide. A short two or three minute walk south, the beach is great for swimming with no rocks. And, we have one of the most beautiful swimming pools right here on the property.

Florblanca is not all-inclusive. Our Nectar Restaurant is a la carte, and serves breakfast, lunch, sushi and dinner daily.

Florblanca offers daily yoga classes in our open-air yoga shala right on the beach. We also can arrange private lessons with our world-renowned instructor. Yoga is not free of charge. Our classes are $15 per person. We do provide mats, blocks, towels and straps.

Florblanca is a five-hour drive from San Jose that includes taking a ferry onto the Nicoya Peninsula. We encourage our guests to fly to Cobano, and can help you arrange domestic or private planes. The flight to Cobano offers spectacular views and is only 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive to Cobano, you are approximately 20 minutes from Florblanca. Transfers to and from Cobano (the closest airport to Florblanca) are not included. They are approximately US$60 each way and each vehicle can accommodate up to four passengers.

Our villas are open air allowing our guests to fully connect with the natural beauty of Costa Rica. However, the bedrooms are closed in with A/C for complete comfort.

The villas do not have TV. We do have a TV room with cable and DVD’s.

Cell phone coverage is limited. We do have Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Nestled in the lush Costa Rica jungle, we do have a few critters and mosquitoes during certain times of the year. We provide bug spray and clean your villa twice a day to keep the bugs and mosquitoes at a minimum.

We accept US Dollars and Costa Rica colones. Most restaurants and shops in town accept both currencies. There is an ATM in town, approximately three miles from Florblanca.

Yes, there is a small medical center in our town. We can also have a doctor come to the hotel for minor injuries or illnesses. For emergencies, we work with the best hospital in San Jose and have access to helicopter and private plane services.

Taxes are not included. A 13% sales tax applies to all charges.
