Welcome Our Newest Yoga Instructor, Jessica!
Join Jessica on the mat Tuesdays-Thursdays
At Florblanca, we have just what your yoga practice has been missing. Experience sunrise salutations and evening Vinyasas at our seaside open-air yoga dojo surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and the distant lulling sound of waves lapping against the shore. Here you’ll have the opportunity to work with our internationally trained instructors, including our newest teacher, Jessica Kruse.
Jessica teaches both restorative and dynamic classes rooted in Hatha Vinyasa Yoga through the lens of Ayurveda. As a professional massage therapist and teacher, Jessica’s classes are alignment and anatomy-based, executed with a lighthearted balancing energy. She approaches asana (poses) and their sequencing with an understanding of how they can affect your unique mind-body constitution (dosha) and better support yourself with a yoga practice that speaks to the core of you – helping you maintain balance day-to-day, season-to-season!
One of the best ways to breathe new life into your yoga practice is to work with a new teacher or try a different style. At Florblanca, we offer Vinyasa Krama. Broken down, Vinyasa means the connection of movement with breath. Krama refers to steps or stages. The combination – vinyasa krama – means wise progression, and in reference to yoga poses, it’s the steady, coordinated movement of poses through stages going from simple poses to more advanced ones. It can also be transliterated more poetically into “the art of sequencing” or an individualized systematic approach.
Want to give Vinyasa Krama a try? Guests and visitors can join Jessica on the mat every Tuesday & Thursday at 8am-9am and Wednesday from 4 pm- 5 pm, as well as Stefano’s yoga classes offered Monday – Saturday. All yoga classes are walk-in and open to the public. You can also request a private group or individual lesson.
At Florblanca, yoga has been central to our culture and daily routine since our opening. Guests will find this the perfect place to reconnect with their practice and themselves. The open-air yoga studio integrates the sights and sounds of nature to bring a sense of peace and renewal to every yogi that walks through the door.
