Made in Néctar
Featuring dishes and ingredients native to Costa Rica
The more you travel and explore different regions around the world, the more you understand how much food is an integral part of the cultural experience. Or maybe you travel especially to enjoy the unique cuisines you find in each place you land.
Whatever the focus of your journey, food is always an essential part of the experience.

Meals have always been central to Florblanca. Néctar Restaurant is the natural gathering place here. It’s the place to start and end each day, both with delicious and nutritious food and to find camaraderie among guests and locals while enjoying nature in all its beauty.
We’ve embarked on a food journey ourselves over the last 6 months. We’ve spent time on all our dishes and menu items to polish and perfect every one. We’ve revamped the dining area to give it a more relaxed ambiance, still with delicious food and excellent service, but not with stiff white tablecloths. We now feature beautiful ceramics handcrafted by a local artisan, Gema Ossenbach, for every plate and glass.
We’re moving away from fine dining to keep the attention on the food and the natural surroundings so unique to our paradise here in the Nicoya Peninsula.
Our focus continues to be on locally sourced ingredients, with a special emphasis on seafood. We’re bringing more attention to new flavors and items you may not have tried – or even heard of – until you landed in Costa Rica.
Our new chefs, Mariano Fernandez, María Belén, and Henry Briceno, have laid out a vision for Néctar:
Our aim is to find new depths into the vast variety of Costa Rican products, while learning from our roots. We gather inspiration from our surroundings, while using our knowledge and experience of international movements and techniques.
Our hope is that the food you try here becomes ingrained in your travelogue, as memorable as all your other activities and experiences.
We can’t wait for you to try our new dishes and experience the flavors and freshness of Costa Rica.

¡Buen Provecho!
