Precision
“The more constraints one imposes, the more one frees one’s self. And the arbitrariness of the constraint serves only to obtain precision of execution.” ~ Igor Stravinsky
Precision is a quality of accuracy and exactness. A refined measurement or calculation or even movement can be precise.
Precision means that each time you complete a specific objective it is in the exact same way as it was done before and will be done again.
Precision can be practiced in the simplest to the most complex forms of movement. In Pilates, precision encourages your awareness, balance, control, and flow, to coordinate in a seamless manner. Focusing on precision allows us to be present and connected to all parts of ourselves and truly give 100%.
