Coordination
Florblanca Pilates Practice
“Pilates is the complete coordination of mind, body, and spirit.” ~ Joseph Pilates
Coordination is important to facilitate all parts of our lives, whether it is how we move physically through daily life or more dynamically in athletic activities, or how we coordinate agendas to find effortless flow through our responsibilities.
Pilates specifically encourages the coordination of breath and movement. They are a complimentary pair. Pilates also challenges you to coordinate tasks such as stabilizing your spine while combining arm and leg movements to increase the resistance of a particular exercise.
Altogether, we are working towards creating a balance of strength and flexibility throughout the whole body as well as the mind.
Coordination connects your mind to your body and therefore leads you to find a flow and refine your precision.
